Singing in Glory

When I was a girl, we didn't have a TV and spent many hours playing our phonograph records. We had a few with George Beverly Shea.

Maybe it was that he shared our family name. Maybe it was his deep baritone voice. Maybe it was the wonderful songs he sang. Whatever the reason - I loved listening to him sing.

I grew up with these great hymns. Did you? (Click on Titles to Listen)

"Until Then"
"His Eye is on the Sparrow"
"In the Garden"
"The Old Rugged Cross"
"The Love of God"
"Ivory Palaces"

George Beverly Shea died on 4/16/13 at the age of 104.
Heaven has a new baritone in its choir.
