Author/Educator

God has given me a full life. I have lived in a variety of climates and over twenty homes. I've crossed the country at least a half dozen times.

Arizona holds my  first memories. The beaches of the Bahama Islands were my playground. I've ridden through the Catskill Mountains of New York. Maine's salty air has greeted me each day for over forty years.

My husband and I have been blessed with eight children. For a few years, we home-schooled. Then I taught reading and English, grades K-6, for twelve years in a Christian School.

Pursuing my dream of writing, I completed the Journeyman Course through Christian Writers Guild, which is owned by Jerry Jenkins. Later, I became a member of Faithwriters and the Maine Fellowship of Christian Writers. I participated several times in NaNoWriMo.

I have published several magazine articles and books. I've also conducted workshops at teacher, writing, and home school conventions.

Now, I am the administrator of Polliwog Pages, a website for promoting children's writing. Through creative writing lessons, grammar lessons, and poetry lessons, I strive to encourage young people to have fun with words and share what is in their minds.

My prayer is to serve my Lord in whatever I am doing, whether it is playing piano at church, teaching poetry at a library workshop, or caring for my grandchildren at home. I want my writing to be used by God to touch the lives of readers, wherever they may be.

"Let the words of mouth (and pen)
and the meditations of my heart
be acceptable in Thy sight,
O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer." (
Psalm 19:14)
