Today's Monday Manna
is hosted by Joanne Sher
at An Open Book.
We are focusing on this verse -
"Have ye not known?
Have ye not heard?
The Everlasting God,
the Lord,
the Creator of
the ends of the earth,
neither faints
nor is weary;
His understanding
is unsearchable."
(Isaiah 40:28)
He said, "I used to, but I'm retired from it now."
I told him, "God never retires from you."
No, God never retires, ever.
He never takes a vacation.
He never sleeps.
He's always there- always!
Isn't that a comforting thought?
I just watched a movie, "The Martian Child." The father tells his adopted son,
"I won't ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER, EVER leave you!"
I thought, that's what God says to us-only He can and will keep His promise. No matter how much we would like to guarantee our words, we can't. Sometimes things come up that hinder us from keeping our promises, but God always keeps His Word.
He is the Creator, the Everlasting Father, the Almighty God!
