FaithWriters Conference - A Dream Come True
It's been a whole week since I attended the Faith Writers conference in Livonia, Michigan. I waited for months, counting the days, until I could meet my new online friends.
What great joy to see that they were really real and feel their warm hugs around me!
Up til then, they were only words and picture on my computer, a voice on the phone, an occasional card through the mail.
We giggled and talked and hugged some more surrounded by the luxurious accommodations of the Radisson Hotel.
They provided us with a delicious meal and a pool and lots of space to hang-out together into the night.
The poor husbands ignored us and went on their own excursion to the Henry Ford Museum
Oh yes! It was a conference, too! The hours were crammed with tips for finding a balance between our pestering Screaming Muse and Genghis Khan Editor. We learned how to prevent writer's block and to hone our poetry skills.
We met Linore Rose Burkard, a real author with signed books, that gave encouragement and advice.
We learned the importance of marketing and got a peek into the new technologies of publishing. The day ended much too soon, but the memories will last forever.
My imagination is bursting with new ideas, and my mind is eager to put them into words.

So glad you had a great time and that you came safely back to us...cuz we missed you.
Loved your morning song and even added it to my blog post.
Looking forward to hear about all that you learned and all of the new friends you made. The pictures looked like you were having fun.
