F is for Faithful

a2z: Take 2. Patty Wysong Helping bloggers blog.

When I try to describe my husband to someone,
the one word that stands out in my mind is

FAITHFUL

Have you ever read the book "Horton Hatches an Egg" by Dr. Suess? Through snow and rain and being sold to a circus, Horton keeps his words and sits on Mazie's egg.

"I meant what I said, and I said what I meant;
an elephant's faithful one hundred percent."

That's my Randy.

From my first date with Randy to this day, he has been steady and dependable.

Randy has stood strong for what he believes in.

He isn't swayed by fleeting trends or new ideas.

You can tell time by his routine.

His logical mind drives me crazy, but can be reassuring, too.

Bad weather or aches don't keep him from church.

When emergencies arise, he is there to help.

He's a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Just when I need it, he knows how to be so romantic.
(like driving 17 hrs. to surprise at the writer conference)

Randy, thank you for being faithful 100%.
I love you.
