Our doctor asked if I wanted my baby before Christmas, on Christmas, or afterward. Thinking that all the excitement of the holiday would overshadow his special day, I opted to have my baby beforehand, while everyone was full of anticipation and hope.
Now ... seeing how much he loves Christmas, he probably would have loved being born on that day. He celebrates it on the 25th of every month by singing Christmas carols.
I wanted to give him a Christmas name. Some of my options were Joseph, Simeon, Judah, David...but I chose Micah - thinking of the verse:
"But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose going forth have been from of old, from everlasting." (Micah 5:2, KJV)
He has grown to confident man, great husband and father, and has just made a CD "All For Him" with songs he has written and composed. See his article about this Christmas song, "He Has Come" on Journezine today.
