Wise Treasure
(Matthew 7:24-27)
Jesus told another story of two men,
a wise man and a foolish man.
The wise man built his house a rock, a strong foundation. He made sure that was built with good materials and in a good place. When the storms came, when the wind blew and the rains came down, the house stood firm.
Another man built a house. He built it quickly in the first place that looked nice. This foolish man made his house on the sand. When the wind and rains came, the house fell down. It did not have a strong foundation.
If we listen to God and obey the Bible, it is like building our house on the rock. Our lives will stand strong and be safe when troubles come. Those that don't obey God are like the foolish man. They will be scared and sad when troubles come their way. We should listen to God's Word and build our lives on the only firm foundation, Jesus Christ our Lord.
MEMORY VERSE: James 1:22
"But be ye doers of the Word,
and not hearers only."

I sure can't imagine living in a house with a bad foundation. So scary when high winds come through. Am so glad we have a firm foundation to stand on!
