Last Saturday, we had our Blake family reunion. It's always nice to see everyone and catch up on the news of the past year. Of course, there's food and food and food!
It's great to see the new babies and listen to the older ones reminisce over past years. My favorite line is "Do you remember when...?" There's sure to be a funny story following close behind.
Next weekend, I'm attending the FaithWriters conference in Michigan. I've met lots of the FW members online. Some of them I know as well as those at my family reunion, maybe even better. Online, we laugh and chat and laugh and cry and pray together. I know their likes and dislikes and fears and dreams. I can't wait to see them face to face. It's going to be a great reunion.... but if we haven't gotten together yet, can it be called
a RE-UNION?
The biggest reunion I'll be attending will be in heaven. Just think of all the loved ones getting together--talking and laughing and sharing stories. We'll meet the Bible characters and great missionaries and countless others who have also been redeemed by our Savior. Imagine the singing. Wow! It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. The greatest thing will be to see Jesus! I know Him and love Him, but we will finally see Him face to face.

YES - reunions are wonderful, but NONE as wonderful as Heaven
