New Life

This post is more of prayer request than my usual posts. My daughter is ten days over-due with her first child, (our first grandchild). She is scheduled to be induced tomorrow. Hopefully, by this time tomorrow, I will be holding my grandson. If the medication doesn't work, they will have to do a c-section, no later than Saturday. Please be praying for Anna and little Carter and for Chris, as it will be hard for him too.

I have been thinking of the concept of life over the last few weeks. Life is a gift from God our Father. If we submit to His will, He can use us to shine for Him. We can grumble and drag our feet year by year, or we can wake each morning thanking Him for His mercy and love. This life is just a blink compared to being with Him for all eternity.

"I am come that ye might have life, and that ye might have it more abundantly"

Jesus told Nicodemas, "Ye must be born again." Does the Lord sigh with compassionate mercy for those who's new birth is not easy? Some "births" are quiet and uneventful. Others come after a time of fighting and resisting. All are miraculous and wonderful. The heaven's rejoice over every birth into God's family.

"But as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to those that believe on His name." John 1:12

Dear Lord, I pray for this little baby. I pray that he will seek You early, that he will grow to learn of You, to be receive this new birth, to serve You with his whole heart. Amen
