What makes you happy?
If you won a MILLION DOLLARS,
would that make you happy?
What if you could eat all the CHOCOLATE you wanted,
would that make you happy?
Those things don't last.
They will only give you pleasure for awhile.
When the pleasure is gone,
will your happiness be gone?
Does it disappear when storms come?
What you need is JOY.
Joy is that deep down peaceful feeling, knowing that all is well, even if it doesn't seem that way. It's knowing that your Heavenly Father is taking care of you, and nothing happens without Him knowing about it. Even if things seem bad, it is all GOOD because He allowed it to happen. (and that's okay)
"These things I have spoken to you,
that My joy may remain in you,
and that your joy may be full."
(John 15:11)
"Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."
(John 16:24 NKJV)
Do you want to be HAPPY,
or
do you want JOY?

A fun post that made me smile and think at the same time.
Amen! I want joy unspeakable and full of glory, not mere transient happiness. Now if I can just make myself remember that...
