It's the last day of 2010 already!
You know you're getting old when the end of the year has come, and it went by so fast that it feels like you didn't get to enjoy it.
I have found that one of the best ways to enjoy time is to look back and count your blessings -not just at Thanksgiving, but everyday. Our pastor asks us at each church meeting if anyone has something to praise God about. Knowing he is going to ask, I found myself noticing things throughout the week that God has done. I began getting in the habit of writing down a few praises and prayers at the end of each day. It helped me to notice the little blessings of each day and kept my heart in an attitude of prayer.
The end of a year is not much different than the end of a day. We don't know what blessings or trials God will bring into our life during the next year. We need to enjoy each day, each year, as we come to it. Yes, I make goals, but I know that my goals may not be God's plans for me. I am learning not to hold on to my goals and dreams so tightly that I miss seeing the blessings that God has already given me.
I want to end this year by sharing
some of my praises and prayers with you.

Can you name 3 specific things
God has blessed you with this year?
"Count your blessings;
name them one by one,
and it will surprise you
what the Lord has done."
(words by Johnson Oatman Jr.)
P.S. Thank you for voting on my blog post poll.

Lovely post, Vonnie. I have so many blessings, and you are among them!
It's been fun watching your life change from being sad about not having any grandkids to have an abundance of them now;)
You've had an awesome year, Vonnie. I hope and pray your writing projects get a home in this new year.
Loves and hugs:)
Three specific things. My Mum spending Christmas with us. My youngest son suddenly grown up, moved away from home, and happy in his job. And my first ebooks were published this year too.
Happy New Year.
God is good.
